Everything You Need. Under One Roof.
The Single-Source Advantage
When you split your manufacturing across multiple vendors, every handoff is a chance for a miscommunication, a quality gap, a delay, or a finger-pointing exercise when something goes wrong. Most manufacturers accept that as the cost of doing business.
T&D Metal was built around a different idea.
Every capability at T&D lives under one roof, operated by one team, held to one quality standard. Your design engineer talks directly to your tooling team. Your fabrication line feeds directly into your welding cell. Your finished assembly goes straight to packaging and out the door.

Capabilities
01 — Design & Prototype Development
The most expensive mistake in manufacturing isn’t a bad weld or a missed tolerance. It’s a bad design that makes it all the way into production. By the time you catch it, you’ve already cut the tooling, run the press, and shipped parts that don’t work. T&D’s in-house design and engineering team exists to make sure that never happens to you.
We work with customers from the earliest stage, whether you have a finished CAD file or a sketch on a napkin. Using SolidWorks, our engineers review your design for manufacturability, identify opportunities to reduce material cost or simplify production, and build production-ready prototypes before a single production die is cut.
- SolidWorks CAD design and modeling
- Design for Manufacturability (DFM) consultation
- In-house prototype development
- Cost reduction engineering
- Direct handoff to in-house tooling and production
02 — Tool & Die Making
Tooling is the foundation of everything in metal manufacturing. If your tooling is slow to build, poorly designed, or sitting in someone else’s shop, your entire production schedule is at the mercy of a vendor you don’t control. T&D built its tool and die operation in-house for exactly that reason.
Our tooling team designs and manufactures dies built specifically for your part, not adapted from a template and not sourced from a third party. That means faster lead times from the start, and a tooling asset that’s maintained, stored, and available when you need it.
Over the decades, T&D has built and maintained an extensive library of in-house tooling that supports rapid production startup and keeps your program running without interruption.
- In-house tool and die design and manufacture
- Progressive, transfer, and draw die construction
- On-site tool storage and maintenance
- Rapid repair and modification turnaround
- Tooling built to support prototype through high-volume production
03 — Fabrication
Fabrication is where design becomes reality. And the gap between a good fabricator and a great one shows up in the tolerances, the consistency, and the ability to hold quality across a high-volume run. T&D’s fabrication line is built for all of it.
We laser cut, punch, form, and bend parts of any complexity across a range of metals and gauges. Our CNC laser cutting capacity includes a 4,000-watt Trumpf laser with a 6’x12′ bed and a 2,600-watt Trumpf laser with a 5’x10′ bed, capable of cutting complex geometries to tight tolerances at production speed. CNC turret punching and press brake forming round out a fabrication line that handles everything from simple blanks to complex multi-bend assemblies.
Whether you’re running a prototype batch or a high-volume program, the standard doesn’t change. Every part is produced to spec, inspected to our ISO 9001:2015 quality system, and ready for the next stage of your production process.
- 4,000W Trumpf Laser — 6'x12' capacity
- 2,600W Trumpf Laser — 5'x10' capacity
- High-capacity CNC Turret punching
- CNC Press Brakes up to 750 tons
- Multi-bend and complex geometry capability
- ISO 9001:2015 quality controls throughout
04 — Welding
Welding is one of those capabilities where the difference between adequate and excellent is invisible until something fails. T&D Metal’s welding operation is built to make sure that failure never happens, with certified welders, robotic cells for high-volume consistency, and the full range of welding processes to match whatever your part demands.
We offer MIG, TIG, CNC robotic, and spot welding, all performed in-house. For structural applications, our robotic welding cells deliver the repeatability and consistency that high-volume production requires. For precision or cosmetic applications, our certified welders bring the skill and attention that a machine can’t replicate.
Whether you need a heavy structural weld on a complex fabricated assembly or a clean, polished finish on a visible component, we have the process and the people to deliver it right.
- MIG welding
- TIG welding and polishing
- CNC robotic welding
- Spot welding
- AWS certified welders
- High-volume robotic welding cells
- Structural and cosmetic weld capability
05 — Stamping & Drawing
T&D Metal’s pressroom is one of the most capable in the region, and it runs constantly. Rows of mechanical presses operating across a range of tonnages and bed sizes, supported by in-house tooling and a team that has been running stamped and drawn parts for decades. If your part needs to be formed at volume, this is where it gets done.
Our stamping and drawing line handles everything from simple flat blanks to complex deep-drawn components with tight dimensional requirements. With mechanical presses ranging from 75 to 2,000 tons and bed sizes up to 26 feet, we have the capacity to run parts of virtually any size at production scale. Progressive and transfer dies keep high-volume programs running efficiently, while our deep-draw capability handles the geometries that other shops turn away.
- Mechanical presses from 75 to 2,000 tons
- Bed sizes up to 26 feet
- CNC Press Brakes up to 750 tons
- High-capacity CNC Turret
- Progressive, transfer, and deep-draw dies
- Runs from prototype quantities to millions of parts
06 — Painting & Powder Coating
A part that functions perfectly but looks poor, corrodes early, or fails a finish spec isn’t a finished part. T&D Metal’s in-house painting and coating operation exists so your parts leave this building looking exactly the way they’re supposed to and holding up in the field the way they need to.
We offer traditional wet paint, powder coating, and e-coat finishing, all performed in-house on dedicated lines. And because our paint lines are in-house, there are no third-party finishing delays, no color inconsistencies between batches, and no break in the quality chain.
- Wet paint — standard and custom colors
- Powder coating — appliance-quality finish
- E-coat — uniform coverage on complex parts
- Corrosion-resistant finish options
- Color matching and consistency across runs
- In-house lines — no outsourced finishing delays
07 — Assembly, Finishing & Packaging
The closer a supplier can get to delivering a finished, ready-to-use product, the leaner your operation becomes. T&D Metal’s assembly, finishing, and packaging capabilities are built to take you as far down that road as your program requires, from simple sub-assemblies to fully packaged, line-ready deliverables.
Our assembly team handles hardware insertion, fastening, and sub-assembly and final assembly operations in-house. Every assembly goes through quality inspection before it’s packaged. And our packaging is designed specifically for your product to make sure what leaves our dock arrives at yours in perfect condition.
- Sub-assembly and final assembly
- Hardware insertion and fastening
- In-house quality inspection at assembly
- Custom packaging design and execution
- Line-ready and customer-ready delivery
- Kitting and bundling capability
08 — Inventory & Freight
A part that’s manufactured perfectly but arrives late is a parts shortage waiting to happen. T&D Metal’s inventory management and freight programs are built so that your line never stops because of something on our end.
We offer managed inventory programs, scheduled release structures, and just-in-time delivery designed around your production schedule. Our 15,000 square foot distribution facility gives us the space to hold your inventory and release it on your timeline. Whether you need weekly releases, kanban replenishment, or a custom program built around your specific demand pattern, we’ll build the program around what your operation actually needs.
